National Savings

Go to this website:

http://www.economywatch.com/economic-statistics/economic-indicators/Gross_National_Savings_Percentage_of_GDP/

I want you each to look at one countries % of Gross national savings.  Break this down by year, 1980 - 2015: obviously 2015 will be a prediction.  Create a graph that shows this in intervals of 5 years.  Along with the chart you will write a paragraph reflection on this including your thoughts on the topic and why you think the country you are looking at received the trend that they had on your chart.  Also include: currency, location in the world, how their location relates to their savings,  Research is encouraged to back up your theory.

  1. My paragraph wouldn't print off so here it is!

The United States was higher in 1980 but then decreased until 1990 but then gradually increased. Then from 2000 to 2005 it decreased. And then from 2005 to 2010 it decreased. From now until 2015 there has been a prediction that it was increase during the next 5 years. For many countries, the estimates of national saving are built up from national accounts data on gross domestic investment and from balance of payments-based data on net foreign investment. The currency in the United States is the dollar bill $. And the location we are in the North part of the world and have more than one country on the top and bottom. I think the location and people’s savings could be maybe we are able to have more goods grown and products produced in our part of the world. And maybe the region people grew up might have hard time saving money.
